Production Manager (Printing)

Leading commercial lithographic printing company seeks to employ an experienced Production Manager. The right candidate will be responsible for the planning, organising, directing and controlling of all production operations. Ensuring all jobs are done on time, in full and meeting all quality standards as well as driving continuous improvement

For the position you would be required to have:

• B. Eng in Industrial Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 5 years' production management experience in the printing industry
• In-depth knowledge of quality best practices
• Outstanding analytical and leadership skills
• Sound understanding of the complexities associated with the printing industry

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Plan printing jobs to meet deadlines ensuring all resources are efficiently utilized
• Ensure production plans are adhered to
• Ensure all operations are accurately captured and reports are timeously produced
• Develop and implement necessary quality systems
• Develop committed quality team
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and in good working order
• Manage staff through regular performance reviews and training
• Reporting as per agreed schedules
• Ensure housekeeping and SHE policies are adhered to

This position reports directly to the MD and will be responsible for the efficient management of the Planners, Litho Manager, Despatch Manager and the Bindery Manager.
