What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Metal Fabrication sector. All duties would take place in this context.

*  Planning and Scheduling of Jobs

*  Optimising Floor Layout

*  Utilise CNC and Robotics to enhance productivity

*  Manage and Optimise Costing (i.e. Budgets. Materials, Labour etc...)

*  Maintain Quality and ISO Standards

Key Job Deliverables:

*  Ensure quality work is Delivered

*  Manage Day to Day Fabrication Jobs

*  Investigate Automation Options using CNC and Robotics

Background work experience:

*  5 years Metal Product Manufacturing & Production Management

*  5 years Boiler Making / Fabrication as an Artisan

*  2 years Staff Management

*  2 years Process Optimisation

*  Production Management Qualification

*  Metal Fabrication Techniques

*  An understanding of Metal Manufacturing like Cutting, Bending, Welding & CNC

*  Managing a artisans and factory workers and getting them to perform well

*  Looking at work instructions, floor layouts, manufacturing steps and quality issues and improving them

*  Managing the planning around the production such as raw materials, scheduling and plant capacity

*  Advantageous: Lean Manufacturing

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R300K to R420K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
