POSITION INFO:

A well-established client in the Engineering/ Manufacturing industry requires a Production Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the manufacturing plant and managing employees, the work load and projects.

Salary is negotiable

Responsibilities

Manage full plant production and maintenance plans
Establish and review quality standard of work on a continuous basis
Implement and continuously improve corrective action plans to minimize losses
Ensure set lead times are met by allocating resources
Manage and minimize wastage
Manage stock rotation
Plan and carry out all stock take activities
Ensure all stock is stored appropriately
Compile various reports
Manage staff performance by continuous evaluation and feedback
Determine optimal headcount
Manages staff KPI’s and identifies training needs if required
Staff motivation
Manages and maintains all SOP training manuals
Housekeeping – maintains a neat and tidy work-space

Requirements

Technical Qualification essential
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
Management experience in a manufacturing environment essential
