SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to supervise and co-ordinate final assembly and spot-welding activities and produce quality products as per production plan and export orders.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main Responsibilities

  • Assembling, testing and packing of products as per relevant specifications, procedures and quality instructions
  • Train Supervisor/operators in their various tasks and ensure that instructions are adhered to
  • Identify and report assembly and quality problems to the Factory Manager and Quality Manager
  • Implement and maintain corrective and preventative actions as advised by Factory Manager/QC Manager
  • Monitor operator output, efficiency and recommend implement changes to improve production output
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Ensure that all finished products are correctly identified
  • Ensure that all the correct drawings and tools are available to execute order
  • Ensure that all relevant works documents are available before starting the production lines
  • Implement and maintain safety and health standards in accordance with the OSHACT System

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
  • Technical or Production Qualification
  • National Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
  • Production experience
  • Computer literacy
