Production Foreman

SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a Production Foreman for a mine based in Brits (North West).

POSITION INFO:
Experience & Qualification:

• Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
• 5-7years related experience in a Metallurgical Environment of which at least 3 years must have been at a leadership role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own transport to attend to call outs.
• Medical requirements:
• Good general health AND requires a certificate of fitness (red ticket)

• The duties for the position are as follows:
• Meet production targets, reduce costs & manage performance of direct production staff.
• Process monitoring, control, optimisation and manage process recipe.
• Effective supervision of subordinates (Attendance & Wellness).
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and ensure compliance. Will hold 2.9.2 appointment.
• Ensure adherence to Process standards and Procedures.
• Coordinate and monitor equipment availability and ensure continuous effective communication with relevant stakeholders to minimise production delays.
• Identify key performance shortfalls, gaps, and critical improvement areas.
• Coordinate training and development of team members

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. High aptitude toward analytical tasks.
• Display a high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.
