Production Engineer - Product Industrialization

Location: Pretoria

Position Overview:

A global high-tech pioneer in the defense and security electronics sector has created a new opportunity for a Production Engineer in Product Industrialization.

The main purpose of this role is to guide and execute activities with the primary focus on extracting suitable outputs from product data packs to establish inputs for Production and Support Documentation, Baselines and Facilities.

Develop requirements for Assembly Line Design and Facility layout. Develop production aid documentation i.e., Facility specifications and build to-, test to-, calibrate to-, train to-, QC to-, documents and material.

Assist in assembly line commissioning and hand-over to production and  assist Design Engineers, industrialisation team members and Project Managers to identify, scope, plan and execute the above activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Technology in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical)
• At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in Product Design and Development (Electro-optical-mechanical products)
• Solid experience in CREO, its applied tools & models, design techniques and principles
• Experience in Product industrialization
• Experience in assembly line technical support
• Experience in product data pack establishment and configuration management principles
• Proficient use of SAP to define Production BOMs and Manufacturing Base Lines
• Skilled in Manufacturing (assembly) techniques and technologies and assembly line processes and workflow
