Kontak is recruiting a Production Controller to join a SMME manufacturing concern in Benoni, Johannesburg to coordinate the workshop production jobs and purchasing of materials required for production.

Obtaining job cards and bills of materials from the design team for new production orders.

Reserving materials required for jobs on the accounting system.

Confirming materials availability for jobs considering possible alternatives.

Ordering materials required for jobs.

Following up on expected arrival of materials for jobs and expediting orders.

Scheduling of jobs for production.

Issuing of job cards to production.

Providing daily status updates on jobs to sales.

Expediting production orders.

Investigating variances between planned materials and actual materials.

Submitting final bill of materials.

Co-ordinating delivery dates between the sales team and the production team.
