Our client, a premium leader in the wood paneling, fittings and furniture seeks to employ a Product/Industrial Designer, to join their vibrant, creative and professional team in Cape Town.
This role is geared toward a a Junior to mid-career level designer, preferably with experience in the design of wood furniture, merchandise fittings, point of sale fittings, associated graphics and cabinetry
You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:
- You will have a B-Tech or equivalent qualification in Industrial Design, coupled with a minimum of 2 years design experience, preferably in the wood /furniture sector, as well as working within a CNC fabrication/manufacturing environment
- Solid working experience on CAD software and an engineering aptitude is essential
- You will be a expert planner, be able to work under pressure, project manage simultaneous projects and effectively problem solve
- You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
