Product Specialist

The successful candidate would be responsible for coordinating and managing business development activities and practices that contribute towards the promotion of a sustained business revenue in consultation with the business development, marketing and investment teams.

Duties include but limited to:

• Plan for, implement and take a lead role in the quality delivery of documents relating to investment products. Such documents will include tenders, questionnaires, capability documents and generic information required by clients on investment products.
• In-depth understanding of products the business offers to clients, including understanding of investment philosophy, process, portfolio construction etc.
• Ensure all product information is timeously updated including performance sheets, peer comparisons, standard product presentations (for new business, due diligence etc).
• Ensure all product information is timeously updated on external databases.
• Provide a summary pack of investment views, asset allocation views and portfolio positioning.
• Continuously strive to enhance and improve the client experience with the business through efficient handling of all client queries, escalations and requests.
• Develop a consistent approach to giving feedback to the business and investment team with regards to questionnaires, tenders completed and other research.
• Work together with the marketing team and other relevant departments to ensure that factsheets and other product information relevant for the website and or other web-based media is completed and updated regularly.

Minimum Expertise & Experience Required:

• BCom Degree or relevant qualification
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in relevant business development
• Experience in asset management industry
• This is a FAIS compliant position
