Product Compliance Manager

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for coordinating product RF, safety and hazardous atmosphere certification

Must design certification strategies that drive product design

Creating design guidelines and checklists for Hardware Designers

Responsible for monitoring standards and maintaining product certification schedules

Responsible for conducting pre-compliance assessments

Liaising with test laboratories

Coordinating requirements with the Production and Quality manager

Skills & Experience:

Must be able to take initiative and personal ownership of delivery

Must be well organized and have the ability to operate independently

Attention to detail

Excellent written and communication skills

Must have experience with RF and EMC certification

Required to have sound knowledge of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers

Must have a passion for Product Quality and Compliance

Must have electronics design experience or electronic product certification

IEC 61010-1, IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1 certification experience is preferred

IEC 60079-11 intrinsically safe product certification experience is preferred

Experience with ISO/IEC 80079-34 Application of quality management systems for Ex Product manufacture is advantageous

Minimum 2 – 6 years’ experience

Qualification:

BEng / BTech Electronic

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
