SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a Procurement and Warehouse Manager in Pretoria

POSITION INFO:

AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY ESSENTIAL

The Procurement and Warehouse Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling the costing, raw material physical control and purchasing, non-stock purchasing, and logistics activities, margin analysis and will also assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

Costing methodology and costing analysis - Working with the product development team to ensure that any changes or improvements to existing products are costed correctly, as well as the costings of those of newly developed products.
Storage of raw materials - Ensuring the true value of inventory at any given time, to within 98% accuracy.
Purchasing of both stock and non-stock items - Managing and optimizing of the stock ordering systems to maximize efficiency.
Inbound logistics - Managing of the relationships, service level requirements, pricing and challenges for sll the logistics providers.
Outsourced production - Managing of the outsourced production process.
Supplier Management - Negotiating pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times and payment terms with suppliers for approval by management.
Strategic Supplier Relationships - Maintaining and managing supplier relations.
Department Management - Managing and leading staff, so that they perform optimally.

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in a Automotive Environment - Essential.
At least 3 years relevant experience, with at least 2 years at senior level managing a team.
Import experience - Essential.
