Experienced Procurement Practitioners
POSITION INFO:
Our client is a state-owned entity and they require the services of Procurement Practitioners: Contracts to be deployed as resources at their establishment at Kriel in Mpumalanga.
This is an agency brokerage contract and employees will remain in the books of the agency for a contract period of 36 months.
Kriel lies 141 km from Joburg CBD, 141 km from Pretoria CBD, 66 km from eMalahleni / Witbank and 44 km from Secunda. It is a small town complete with its own shopping centre hosting the usual big retail chain stores and as well a town presenting options for rental accommodation.
Successful candidates are expected to commence duties in August 2021.
DUTIES:
- Prepare tender invitations and dossiers, Issue, receive and evaluate.
- Place once off orders
- Consolidate requirements and conclude long term contracts
- Prepare tender/procurement committee reports, modification of reports timeously and present reports to the tender committee.
- Evaluate and approve sole adjudication report and report to the relevant authorities monthly.
- Manage the relationship between the company and the supplier.
- Give regular feedback to management on supplier performance on all contracts.
- Ensure that the needs of the internal customer are fully satisfied including making sure that all queries are resolved.
- Act as a liaison between the internal customer and the supplier or service provider.
- Ensure that annual or monthly price adjustments are done in line with the agreed escalation indices.
- Ensure that the contracts are renewed or extended prior expiry
REQUIREMENTS:
- B degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics / Pub Admin / Commerce / Finance
- Minimum three years of relevant experience including one uninterrupted year in one position.
- Experience in heavy engineering or mining environment plus management of multi-million Rand contracts
- PFMA procurement experience of at least one year.
REMUNERATION:
R20 000 per month, escalated at 6% per annum + 15 days paid annual leave.
