SUMMARY:
â€¢ Ensure that suitable suppliers are selected for products and service to the company in terms of predetermined criteria , securing and analysis of RFQ , QRN and negotiating of prices and terms

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications

Grade 12
Diploma in purchasing or equivalent
Min 5 yrs purchasing exp
Technical Knowledge of Automotive manufacturing industry / steel manufacturing essential
Min 2 yrs costing /estimating exp

Key performance areas

Purchasing of commodities and service
Control , develop and ,monitor suppliers
Expediting

Knowledge required

Sound knowledge and understanding of Technical and Quality systems
Sound knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes
Sound knowledge and understanding of budget control
Sound knowledge and understanding of customer requirements and supplier evaluation
Sound knowledge of Technical Specifications
