SUMMARY:
Our client a coatings manufacturer based in Johannesburg is seeking a Procurement Manager with experience in purchasing of Raw Materials on an international level is required.

These materials are the following but are not limited to Resins, Additives, Solvents, and Pigments.

No less than 4 years’ experience in this role, experience in going to visit your suppliers on an international level.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Researching, selecting and purchasing quality products and materials.
Responsible for purchasing goods and raw materials from abroad that will be used by their company to produce a final product.
Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities and delivery timescales. locating key suppliers, negotiating the company’s purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet the company’s specifications
Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders.
While purchasing aims to minimize the cost of an order, procurement aims at other objectives like risk mitigation, contract compliance, cost savings, ongoing supplier relationships, etc.

Negotiating skills.
An aptitude for figures and the ability to manage a budget.
An analytical mind.
An interest in the activities of your own organisation.
