POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the procurement of stock and direct purchasing in the most cost-effective manner and at minimum risk
• Management of Subordinates
• Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies
• Total cost of ownership
• Processing critical high value orders
• Market research
• Administering enquiries and adjudication of tenders
• Negotiations
• Expediting function
• BBBEE
• Continuous improvement

 

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics, National Diploma in Purchasing Management
• 10 years’ experience in purchasing
• 5 years’ experience in a senior position
• SAP MM Module
• Code EB / 08 driver’s licence
