Our client, a market leader who is based in Humansdorp is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement function in the organization to support internal customer requirements, with quality compliant, cost effective, on time deliveries in line with company guidelines and policies.

Key Performance Areas:

• Establish and maintain good relations with suppliers.
• Ensure supplies purchased meet quality and quantity requirements, that deliveries are timely and at the best possible price.
• Review supplier base on a continual basis and evaluate performance of suppliers.
• Supporting Supplier BEE and Enterprise Development in line with business strategy.
• Drive working capital improvement strategies.

Education, Experience and Competencies required:

• Financial Degree or relevant Qualification
• Purchasing Management Qualification will be an advantage
• 2-3 years’ experience in a buying capacity ideally FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong administrative and numerical skills, including Computer Literacy – MS Office
• Strong customer service skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Be able to evaluate complex quotations
• Excellent negotiation skills
