Key Skills
Manage the procurement department (approximately 3 staff).
Meet regularly with the Demand Planner to ensure correct quantities and products are ordered timeously.
Weekly MRP meetings with the Demand Planner, Wholesale, Key Account and Retail Department Managers.
Overs and under report to be assessed and discussed with Department Heads
Engage with suppliers and negotiate deals and payment terms accordingly.
(raw materials, products and packaging materials).
Build relationships with suppliers (travel may be required to visit suppliers).
Procurement of stock both locally and imports (knowledge of international markets)
Keeping informed regarding production requirements and follow up.
Work closely with the factory to establish raw material, ingredients and consumables requirements.
New product development interaction to ensure the necessary raw material is ordered in.
Dealing with queries from suppliers.
