SUMMARY:
Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, currently seeks an experienced Procurement Assistant, who will report directly to the Production Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:
  • Degree or Diploma is essential.
  • Min 2 to 3 years experience within procurement, with a focus on sourcing raw materials and packaging.
  • Manufacturing experience gained within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • SAP essential.
The Job:
  • Material sourcing, e.g. raw materials, packaging, etc.
  • Vendor management - price negotiations, contracts and SLA's.
  • Supplier management - monitor supplier performance in terms of agreed service levels and contracts.
  • Generate the Master Resource Plan from SAP.
  • Place and follow up on purchase orders.
Competencies:
  • Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complete and varied workload.
  • Proactive and adaptable to changing business needs.
