Process and project Engineer

Our client is looking for a Process and Project Engineer to join their exciting team in Boksburg.

DESCRIPTION:

The Process and Projects Engineer will be responsible to provide expert engineering support and project management to the manufacturing operations. Investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical issues associated with the plant will be a focus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Investigate, develop, manage and execute improvement projects from inception to final commissioning and sign-off.
• Provide expert engineering support the daily operations of the relevant departments.
• Provide technical expertise and input to the maintenance function.
• Maintain accurate records, drawings and technical files for the relevant plant & equipment.
• Analyse and report key measures for systemic improvement.
• Engage and communicate with project stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed feasibility studies, project plans and designs.
• Selection and management of contractors.
• Monitor project progress, coordinate activities and resolve problems.
• Identify the resources required to ensure that all new and existing process specifications can be executed repeatedly to deliver consistent product quality (develop validated processes).
• Ensures the correct GMP and EHS standards and practices are adopted in new processes from initialisation.

KEY SKILLS:

• Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical or personal care industries will be advantageous.
• Precise workmanship, a technical mindset and excellent written- and verbal communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical/ Industrial/ Chemical).
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing/ FMCG environment.
