Process Technician - Automotive

SUMMARY:
My Client in the Automotive Component Manufacturing Industry is looking for a Process Technician

POSITION INFO:

Job Function

Position that requires knowledge of Injection Moulding machines, their working and set-up. It requires daily assistance to Moulding Production area to keep them optimized and functional to highest standard or reliability. It requires the individual to set-up new tools with the robots to meet quality, process and target requirements

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Breakdown and corrective maintenance on components
• Set-up tools to run at required cycle times
• Analyse and reduce process scrap
• Optimize and improve part quality and machine cycle times
• Equipment maintenance, repair and fault finding
• Be responsible for following all cooperative safety policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification (Electrician, Fitter, Millwright, Mechatronics or similar)
• NQF level 4 Setter certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ setting experience, preferably in automotive sector
• Able to troubleshoot and analyse data to ensure high standard of parts are produced

Experience in the following will be required.

• IMM robot programming and set-up. (KM, Sepro, etc.)
• Injection moulding setter experience
• Injection process optimization, including robot optimization.
• Basic fault finding
• Limit switches
• Single and 3 phase elect motors
• Hand tool and electrical tool use
• Repair and replace equipment, wiring and fixtures.
• Pneumatics
• Hydraulics
• Siemens PLC
• Solid State Relays
• Thermocouples
• Safety circuits
• Heating systems
