POSITION INFO:
Process Engineer
BSc/ BEng / BTech / ND Metallurgical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
2 - 10 years experience
Previous Process Design experience preferred
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Salary: R25 - 50k monthly depending on experience
KPI & Job Description Main Purpose of Job (Role): Provide process engineering support and direction to design activities relating to R&D, concept, prefeasibility, feasibility studies, EPCM and EPC projects.
Main functions include (but not limited to):
Design Engineering
• Technical Support
• Resourcing

• Reporting and Documentation
• Peer review of estimates, schedules, proposals, designs and constructability
Key Performance Areas & Indicators (Responsibilities):
Engineering
• Actively drive continuously improve innovation, initiate and implement upgrades in detail engineering and process designs and concepts to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform and drive “Fit for Purpose” engineering design.
• Develop cost effective solutions and value creation
• Carry the responsibility for the engineering discipline sign off.
• Presentation of technical aspects internally and externally.
• Provide input and setup contractual performance and acceptance criteria.
• Perform engineering and design correctly detailed to the stage / level of the study or project.
• Peer review designs and technical reports.
• Perform technical investigation and reporting on that
• Proficient in analytically assessment of mineral process applications and effectively reporting on the analysis.
Operational
• Provide input into all SHE matters, actively participate and promote a total safety culture.
• Demonstrates proactive management of time.
• Continuously develop and upgrade processes to improve efficiency and work output. Set and continuously improves procedures / processes (example ISO). • Efficient delivery of work processes and design output deliverables.
• Effectively shares and providing of information between disciplines, vendors and team.
• Take responsibility off and actively engages in problem solving.
• Produce high quality of reports.
• Effective and efficient communication, both written and spoken, to management and teams internally and externally.
• Lead or assist with commissioning phases of a project.
• Positive disposition towards expat commissioning requirements.
• Lead and manage teams (example studies, investigations, test work programs).
• Peer review of design deliverables of the process engineers to ensure design quality and actively solving shortcomings in designs.
• Mentoring and training of subordinate engineers.

• Through client liaison and networking, proactively interact with Business Development and Marketing teams by sharing and providing business intelligence.
• Initiate and assists with new business and proposals.
• Shows entrepreneurial motivation.
• Develop and follow up on leads through personal networks and client interaction.
• Written and spoken communication etiquette with clients in a respectful manner.
• Keeping clients and PM informed and up to date on status of technical aspects.

Project Engineer Key Performance Areas Description Weighting Engineering Engineering is the technical key area which consists of the quality of innovative engineering design (fit for purpose), construction support and commissioning functions.
Technical support, reports and documentation are some of the key elements. 40% Operational Management Operational Management including key areas of package management (including suppliers relationships), schedule management, safety management and quality through proactive communication.
30% Client Relations Client Relations is a key area demonstrating concern for satisfying project client.
Meeting and exceeding the project client''s deliverables. 20% Personal Capabilities Personal Capabilities is the management of one''s attitude including proactiveness, initiative and a can-do attitude and continuous developing of skills.
10% Individual performance will contribute 50% of Bonus and Annual Increase determination. Company Performance & Cashflow will constitute the other 50%
