Process Engineer

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Process Engineer reporting into the Branch Manager, to represent, promote and sell company products providing value adding solutions to products and processes for our clients.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
• Degree / B. Tech / National Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and MS Projects (Advance MS Office)
• Valid driver’s license

Minimum Experience:

• 3 Year’s experience in Minerals processing required, Sand and Zinc Processing experience will be advantageous
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and related.
• Knowledge of general contracts processes, procedures and systems

Key tasks

• Support the Branch manager to execute on the territorial sales’ strategic objectives
• Conduct sales calls and deliver impactful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the
• uniqueness of the value proposition
• Effectively match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
• Effectively communicate client needs to the product specialist teams for future product
• enhancements
• Look for brownfields and solution driven opportunities for all products on various sites
• Travel extensively in region to sell into new prospects as well as farming back into existing
• customers
• Work with Quotation/Application engineer to assess RFPs/RFIs/RFQs product design and all technical aspects of the quotations and tenders
• Work with drafts people to develop accurate GA (general arrangement) and components drawings
• Work with product manager and administration officer to ensure correctness of customer orders
• Liaise with customers to provide on time provision of quotations, technical data, drawings and relevant information to customers within a reasonable period
• Provide weekly and monthly updates and reports on input, sales and performance delivery
• Work with relevant manufacturing personnel to improve product quality, productivity and performance
• Gather market intelligence on customers, competitors, to help develop markets, sales strategy and support accurate forecasting.
• Product presentations to customers and conduct onsite audits
• Commissioning assistance on large projects
• Managing process workflow and projects from branch level.
• Seek opportunities to offer condition monitoring of equipment
• Full technical support to Sales Engineers, Field Service and to customers to grow brownfields where applicable.
• Offer technical support to customers, including site visits, trouble shooting and proving complete solution.
• Adhere to EHS and Housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites
• Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times
