Printing Assistant - Flexographic - Flexibles Packaging Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
A well-known and established food packaging company requires a flexographic printer for a fully resourced flexibles plant.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a matric qualification.
• Previous experience having worked on flexographic reel printing is essential.
• Previous experience with UV inks will be an advantage.
• Preference will be given to a strong printer who has multilayer extrusion experience.
• The successful candidate must have good colour matching skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• Ensure that the printing machines are setup correctly.
• Match ink shades according to approved samples.
• Troubleshoot and investigate problems on the machine to highlight potential risks in the process.
• Conduct machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Assist with printing runs with reel-to-reel plastic film.
• Prepare change overs and assist in machine set-ups.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
