POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for Pricing specialist:

Duties:

•             INCO Terms

•             Knowledge of DGR, Temp Control and High Value cargo an advantage

•             Product specific freight handling & movement requirements

•             Basic international trade principles

•             Applicable sections of Import & Export control Act

•             Geography

•             Aligning in co-ordinance with Functional business objectives and strategies

•             Understanding of the Rate structures applicable for Freight Forwarding

•             Carrier & depot conditions of trade

•             Tariff calculation concepts

•             National currencies and international codes

•             Detail oriented - Accuracy and attention to details

•             Problem solving skills and decision-making skills

•             Interpersonal skills

•             Good communication skills (written &verbal)

•             Time management – must work well under pressure

•             Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel) and Shipshape an advantage

•             Qlikview exposure an added advantage

•             Experience in Air, Sea, Road and warehousing in both Import and Export required.

Responsibilities:

•             Solution and strategy on client requests

•             Record and reporting on estimates

•             Conversion of Estimates to Shipments

•             KPI’s / Balance Scorecard

•             Quality Control

•             Communication

•             Ad Hoc duties

Requirements and skills

•             Grade 12 Certificate

•             1-year freight forwarding related qualification at NQF level 3

•             3-5 years’ (Air / Sea / Road / Multimodal) experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry in a controller / estimator capacity

Salary

•             R20 – 30k
