Pretoria West: SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Minimum Requirements:

-Presentable male, preferably aged approximately 25-35 years

-Afrikaans & English first and second languages

-Mechanical or electrical qualification, or relevant work experience in a mechanical or electrical role

-Work experience in industrial compressor industry (piston and rotary screw) advantageous

-Responsible and accountable

-Willing to work outside normal working hours to accommodate customers (e.g. over time) and 2 x Saturdays per month (normally up to 1pm depending

on service schedule)

-Good management / supervision skills

-Good administration skills required (purchasing, invoicing, correspondence etc.)

-Good communication skills

-Computer literate

-Valid drivers licence

-Able and fit to work in warehousing environment (Working conditions can be hot, dusty and physically challenging e.g. heavy items)

-Team player

-Training on and off site will be provided (Position will be workshop based until sufficient training and experience to do off site services and repair of compressed air equipment at manufacturing / engineering type companies)

-Stable employment record and contactable References

Duties:

-Servicing of compressors, mostly off site with a portion of work based at workshop

-Responsible for the entire service department

-Customer liaison

-Scheduling / assigning of work to technicians

-Purchasing of spares

-General management of workshop / workshop staff

-Administration in terms of purchasing, invoicing, correspondence with customers and suppliers

-Communication and interaction with people from

different levels (factory / production staff to directors / owners)

Salary: R 8 000.00 – R 9 000.00 gross (depending on experience)
