Pretoria East: SENIOR PARALEGAL / SENIOR LITIGATION SECRETARY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hazelwood, Pretoria East: SENIOR PARALEGAL / SENIOR LITIGATION SECRETARY
The following candidates will also be considered for this position:
a) Experienced Paralegal; or
b) Senior Litigation Secretary; or
c) Junior Attorney.
Minimum Requirements:
-Well presentable and professional
-Matric / Grade 12
-Legal Qualification preferred
-Fully bilingual with strong English proficiency, and excellent communication skills
-Minimum 10 years experience in High Court- and Magistrate’s Court Litigation, and Collections at a law firm a must
-Fully independently functional (handle unopposed matters on own diary)
-Must understand court processes and time periods.
-Dictaphone typing experience with strong typing skills (speed and accuracy)
-Strong administration skills
-Computer literate
-Stable employment record and contactable references
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Handling of High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation and Collections matters
-Independent diary management of unopposed matters according to legal time frames
-Drafting and typing of legal documents, notices and pleadings
-Dictaphone typing
-Corresponding with clients
-General secretarial and administrative duties
Salary: ± R 15 000.00 – R 20 000.00 gross (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
