Pretoria East: FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY

Minimum Requirements:

-Presentable and professional Afrikaans speaking individual

-Afrikaans and English first and second languages a must (fully proficient – Afr & Eng client base)
-LLB Degree completed and admitted as an Attorney

-Minimum 1 year post admission experience in High Court & Magistrate’s Court Litigation and specifically Family Law matters A MUST

-Fully independently functional in Family Law matters A MUST (Not limited to Divorces)

-Able to work under pressure essential for this position

-Computer literate in MS Office (Legal Suite advantageous)

-Own reliable vehicle (Firm not on bus route)

-Stable employment record

-Contactable References

Duties:

-High Court & Magistrate’s Court Litigation

-Family Law matters

-Drafting of summonses, notices and pleadings, legal documentation relating to Family Law

-Correspondence and liaison with clients, attorneys, Family Advocate, Advocates and various experts in private practice (e.g. psychological / social / forensic)

-Attendance to High Court with clients and advocates

-Court appearances in Family Court

-Consultations with clients

Salary: Negotiable depending on post admission Family Law experience (Market related)
