SUMMARY:
Client in the Manufacturing Industry requires the services of a PREPPING & PACKAGING SUPERVISOR at their operations in the NORTHERN SUBURBS OF JOHANNESBURG AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

POSITION INFO:

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

• Coordinates with other supervisors.

 

• Communicates with other supervisors regarding issues from within different departments;

 

• Provides reports and activity updates to Management;

 

• Shares company updates and new objectives with team members;

 

• Coordinates and interfaces between prepping and pre-prepping activities;

 

• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and quality standards;

 

• Trains and/or ensures that employees are properly trained for specific roles;

 

• Coordinates cross-training;

 

• Provides feedback on employee performance;

 

• Provides constructive and/or positive feedback;

 

• Motivating employees;

 

• Searches for the most efficient technical solutions;

 

• Start work on time and ensure all employees are present and assigned work in order of priority to meet deadlines;

 

• Identifies and resolves workplace problems, including tardiness or absenteeism;

 

• Supervises prepping and packaging workshop activities.

 

• Communicates job expectations;

 

• Helps employees understand performance targets and goals;

 

• Assists in resolving emergencies, such as quality problems, that may be escalated to the production supervisor for handling;

 

• Plans, monitors and appraises job results;

 

• Coach, counsel and assist in disciplining employees;

 

•  Initiates, coordinates and enforces systems, policies and procedures; and

 

• Performs any other duties that may be assigned to him by management and/or the person so authorized.
