Our client, a well-established and high-volume commercial dealership, is seeking an experienced Used Truck Sales Executive to join their team in Middelburg.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing new business, building strong customer relationships, achieving used truck sales targets, and managing the sales process from enquiry through to delivery while ensuring excellent customer service throughout.

Remuneration:
R 22 000 – R 28 000 plus lucrative performance-based Incentive – Benefits including Provident Fund, Medical Aid, Company Vehicle and Fuel Allowance

POSITION INFO:
Duties include

• Sell the maximum number of quality pre-owned / used trucks by understanding customer operational requirements and matching the correct truck solutions to their business needs.
• Develop and maintain strong fleet and commercial customer relationships while actively sourcing new business opportunities within the trucking and transport sector.
• Achieve maximum first and second gross profit while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with company sales standards to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Initiate, structure, negotiate, and close used truck sales deals effectively.
• Prepare professional quotations, vehicle specifications, and finance-related documentation where required.
• Present suitable used truck solutions and proposals to assist clients in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including CPA regulations and accurate completion of sales documentation.
• Maintain regular networking and promotional activities to increase market share and grow the used truck customer base.
• Work closely with management to implement effective sales strategies and identify opportunities to improve sales performance and profitability.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through professional service and high levels of customer care.

• Minimum 3 years’ commercial / truck sales experience within a franchised dealership environment.
• Matric / Grade 12 essential.
• Experience within a high-volume commercial dealership preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, target-driven, and sales focused.
• Strong lead generation, negotiation, and deal-closing ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Experience on MS Office, Evolve, and Sales Workplace advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence essential — Code 14 advantageous.
• Clear criminal and ITC record.
• Previous exposure to brands such as Tata, Isuzu, Scania, Volvo, FAW, MAN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Powerstar, Iveco, Dongfeng, JMC, Hyundai, Nissan UD, Mitsubishi Fuso, Freightliner, Western Star, Ashok Leyland, Kenworth, or Peterbilt beneficial.
• Previous B2B and fleet sales experience advantageous.
• Established industry relationships within the trucking and commercial sector highly beneficial.
• Candidates residing in the Middelburg region will be preferred; however, candidates willing to relocate will also be considered.
