SUMMARY:
Vacancy at a private healthcare facility in Bloemfontein. Responsible for the management of the financial and clinical administrative risks pertaining to patient admissions.
POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities:
· Perform clinical assessments of patient clinical history
· Ensure all pre-admissions are correctly coded
· Optimal management of bed & theatre bookings through liaison with wards and Doctor’s rooms
· Manage authorisation requests
· Identify and monitor gaps and risks and implement corrective actions
· Ensure effective management and quality outputs re customer service standards
· Assist case management teams as/when needed
· Ensure effective management of relationships with the internal & external stakeholders
Knowledge of the following is an inherent job requirement:
· Hospital patient services and case management processes
· Good understanding of CPT & ICD coding
· Understand funder contracts, scheme rules and exclusions/benefits
· Clear understanding and knowledge of hospital industry and practices
Education and General Requirements:
· General Nursing Diploma OR Enrolled Nurse Certificate
· SANC registered
· Min of 3 years’ experience in similar role
· Computer proficient
· Clear criminal and Clear credit verification
