MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

•   Matric certificate minimum plus relevant qualification

REQUIRED

:

•   At least 7 years technical experience in Pneumatics

•   A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY

•   Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical

expertise to enable them to sell complete pneumatic and vacuum

solutions.

•   Responsible for reviewing products data to ensure that the field force is

kept up to date on new developments regarding companies or

competitors’ products.

•   Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work

collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that arise.

•   Close liaison with the field force to assess the response and suitability of

current promotional material and to ensure that the printed promotional

material is being used optimally.

•   Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the

current range and new product introductions.

•   Assist with the design of the annual marketing plan and for controlling

advertising promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual

marketing plan.

•   Responsible for preparing product forecasts and constantly monitoring

inventory levels locally and globally to ensure supply timelines.

•   Liaise with the marketing department  to promote products and brands.

•   Maintain relationships with mainstream suppliers.

•   Negotiate with suppliers and distributors

•   Prepare, review, and distribute reports, feedback, analysis and other

market data.

•   Monitor all aspects of the design, development and production process.

•   Co-ordinate and attend show and /or open days.

•   Develop and implement SETA/Accredited Product specific training

interventions.
