Qualifications / Requirements

• Logistics / Operations related Diploma
• Diesel / Petrol trade test
• Minimum of 7 years - Plant hire, Operations, Logistics, Administrations
• Construction / similar background
• Handling of administration and able to do calculations
• Computer literate – able to do Excel reports
• Proven experience in handling large staff compliment
• Handling of problems and resolving thereof quickly and efficiently
• Must be able to handle high pressure environment
• Client liaison experience

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure team conduct in accordance with brand and company standard
• Ensure team performance contributes to positive customer experience and customer satisfaction metrics
• Regularly visit internal and external stakeholders
• Supplier audits
• Presenting and drawing up of reports
• Handling of all staff issues
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders on availability of assets
• Manage assets and effective cost control and budgeting
• Ensure asset knowledge is constantly updated. Attend external training where necessary
• Provide reportees with purpose, vision and goals aligned to company strategy
• Provide clarity, set objectives and manage reportees performance in accordance with assigned roles and responsibilities
• Recruit and onboard effectively and for team sustainability
• Preventative maintenance
• Ensure that the yard and building premises are well maintained
• Conduct stock takes
• Manage schedules of the Drivers
• Ensure security and housekeeping
• SHEQ standards
• Handle purchases vs rentals
• Ensuring maintenance of all equipment
• Costings of equipment
