Plant Manager

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide Leadership and strategic alignment to ensure realisation of business objectives and goals
• Measure, monitor and report on key performance indicators
• Ability to interface with customers at a strategic commercial level as well as at product development and query resolution levels
• Improve productivity through people management, improved quality, equipment capacity and maintenance
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by leading the plant and applying group standards
• Develop and achieve production planning systems and procedures to achieve operations excellence targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Benchmarking Nationally and Internationally against best practices and implementing appropriate strategies
• Drive business growth plans
• Monitor the Supply Chain activities to manage costs and efficiencies
• Financial control to achieve target results

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Industrial Engineering
• 7 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
• 5 years leadership experience
• Experience of preventative maintenance processes
• Efficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and capable of managing production systems - JDE knowledge (advantageous)
• Asset Care experience
• Understanding of costing and financing principles (Income Statement / Balance Sheet)
• Coaching, problem solving and decision-making skills
