SUMMARY:

Well established fashion retailer has a Planning Executive role available. Based in Durban.

POSITION INFO:

To develop and nurture the buying and planning functional relationships at all levels
Optimise inventory management
Maximise gross profit
Grow revenue
To improve reporting systems
Seek continuous improvement in the business
Drive up South Africa''s trading densities
Improve and perfect the allocation process
Through careful planning and analysis, identify ideal season assortments

Responsibilities

Lead, control, motivate and inspire planners and assistants of ~ 30 staff
Manage, review, optimise and approve season buy plans and merchandise budgets
Control the preparation and presentation of merchandise assortment analysis, including post seasonal analysis, as well as new season assortment planning analysis
Maximise revenue, gross profit and manage aged stock and optimise stockturns
Development of strategic planning objectives with Merchandise Managers
Ensure planners OTB is in accordance with merchandise plans
Manage merchandise for promotions and markdowns
Analyse merchandise performance
Formulation of a balanced merchandise plan
Developing and implementing our new ERP planning and allocation system, working alongside the IT executive
