Our client is looking for a qualified and well seasoned Industrial Engineer to lead a team of Junior

POSITION INFO:

EAST LONDON VACANCY - PLANNING ENGINEER

Leading a team of Junior Engineers and Technologists which provides support to the operational departments. This includes managing projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistical processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management
• Process and System design and implementation
• Continuously improvement of processes and systems
• Team Management
• Workload management
• Process and System failure root-cause analysis
• Develop and maintain a trustworthy relationship with Manufacturer and Company Operations
• Control expenditures within limitations of project budget

Qualifications

• B.Eng. Industrial
• Master’s diploma / NQF level 8. (This would include an Honours degree. Could take 1 to 2 years to complete)

Experience:

• Up to 5 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Planning, Cyclic Logistics
• Proven track record of Succesfull Project Management
• Previous leadership experience
• Prior Automotive experience will be an advantage

Knowledge and skills:

• Good communication, mathematical and analytical skills
• Extensive knowledge of logistical processes
• Advanced Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Visio
• Prior Warehouse Management System experience will be an advantage
