Planning Controller

SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a Planning Controller in Montague Gardens, Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

To manage the production planning process, from receipt of the job card for shutters and blinds, daily production planning and then delivery, to finished goods store, to meet the delivery timelines committed to the customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production planning - Planning of all production, ensuring that resources are optimised and efficiently utilized to achieve maximum efficacy in production and best possible output.
• Reporting - Drafting and maintaining of reports that provide all the necessary information pertaining to production.
• Department Management - Managing and leading staff, so that they perform optimally.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant Diploma or Degree.
• Experience of being a Master Production Scheduler in a manufacturing concern - Essential.
• At least 5 years planning administration experience in a manufacturing or related environment - Essential.
• Excellent Microsoft office skills - Essential.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Planning and organization.
• Taking initiative.
• High attention to detail.
