SUMMARY:
Asset management identifies information considering all phases of an asset life cycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Objective of the role:

  • Asset management identify information considering all phases of the asset life cycle. The information should be of a quality appropriate to the asset management decisions and activities it supports. The role ensure that the information provided by these systems is consistent and establish, implement and maintain procedure(s) for controlling asset management information.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and setup SAP (MPA) master data to enable maintenance teams to effectively manage assets.
  • Plan and manage SAP patches and upgrades.
  • Presentation of Asset Management (Work management, Shutdown management) and SAP (MPA) courses to middle management level employees.
  • Provide reliable and effective management information and business system support in SAP Manage Physical Asset (MPA) module.
  • Performs all data extraction and analysis of MPA information for management and provide management information as required by the business and all audit requirements.
  • Develop an excellent understanding of business processes and value drivers.
  • Various data collection, verification, analysis and reporting activities associated with managing asset.
  • Identify opportunities for improving maintenance performance (efficiency & cost) • Leading a team of asset management data capturers.
  • Manage rail maintenance planning and scheduling.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 with 5 years maintenance planning and scheduling experience.
  • A trade qualification will be an advantage.
  • SAP (MPA) or other CMMS, Reliability centred maintenance (RCM), Root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Computer skills: Advance MS Projects, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
