Mechanical and Piping 3D Modeller (TEMP)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role Responsibilities:

Applies a variety of standard drafting methods and techniques to convert the designs, plans and layouts of engineers into a set of technical outputs.
Ability to use intermediate 2D Drafting and 3D modelling systems to produce outputs which may feed drawings or federated model/s. Drawings include typical mechanical and process engineering deliverables such as general arrangement drawings, isometrics, plan drawings and layouts, P&IDs, etc.
Preparation of simple to moderately complex outputs.
Developing specialism, including knowledge of quality and safety standards and regulations, in area of discipline for mechanical.
Developing deep technical and digital expertise. Learns new and emerging technologies and ways of working. Improving automation and value-adding practises.
Prioritises and systematically organises assigned tasks and understands how they relate to the larger client project.
Allocates own time efficiently and proactively communicates status of work. Liaise with other engineering disciplines
Generates plant design 3D models from scans.
Selection and positioning of suitable piping support and routing to address stress requirements.
Ability to interpret project scope (Interpretation of P&ID’s and MFD’s).
Generate bills of materials from isometrics
Have knowledge of the applicable technical standards used in the oil & gas industry and petrochemical industry

Minimum Requirement:

Minimum of at least 4 years or more experience as a Mechanical Digital Modeller in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry.
Relevant qualification to Mechanical Draughting (Revit MEP/Mechanical accreditation would be highly advantageous)
Plant 3D is essential, and knowledge of Plant 3D specification setup would be beneficial.
Revit is essential
AutoCAD skills would be advantageous.
Dynamo / Python skills would be advantageous.
Proficient in the comprehension and application of International Codes and Standards.
Both mechanical and piping modelling skills are essential.
