Our Client is urgently looking for a Phlebotomist/Private Nurse to start immediately at their private Estate
1. Mon-Fri 08h00 / 18h00
2. Standby & on call over weekends
3. Willing to travel during holiday season

Purpose of the Position:
• To ensure the required medical needs of the Employer and family is always maintained.
• Candidate preferably to live close to the Sandton area
Responsibilities and Duties: Not Limited
• Collecting blood, medical waste, urine and other samples, appropriately packaging them,
preparing them to be sent for offsite or on site analysis as indicated by the requisition;
• Follow careful directions in order to ensure the safety and accuracy of patients specimen
collection and test results;
• Conduct alcohol and drug testing by the Group’s substance abuse policy (keeping a schedule of
all tests conducted);
• Keep your office tidy and laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders
including medications, verifying receipts;
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns,
maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs;
• Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books;
• Administering injections where applicable;
• Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps;
• Manage and order medication for the Family and the Business;
• Administer life support in instances where cardiovascular is required;
• Administer ECG Interpretations where required;
• Hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing
and monitoring patients'' conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors;
• Phlebotomy - you will be the one who draws blood from patients, collects a variety of other
specimen samples as well as label the blood vials that you have filled, collect blood samples from
patients and practice proper patient identification;
• Assist required individuals with the completion and submission of Covid-19 applications and
timeously follow up on results and inform the required individual of same;
• Site PPE and Sanitizer to be checked regularly. Bottles to be filled at all entrances;
• Ensure Sanitizers are in all security vehicles;
• Site COVID-19 declaration forms to be checked and correctly managed;
• Order and manage covid-19 supplies for the Group;
• Always ensure the safety of yourself and others when conducting medical tests, etc.
• The above duties will be expanded and updated from time to time.
Academic & Trade Qualifications:
• High school graduate
• Nursing Degree
• Phlebotomy Certification (Qualified to draw blood)
• Advanced First Aid
• Paramedic Certification (Preferable)
• Advance Life Support Certification (Preferable)
• Basic understanding of Medications
• Able to conduct BP and diabetic checks
Work experience and Skills:
• Proven experience within the field with contactable references
