POSITION INFO:

A pharmaceutical company is looking for a suitably experienced Production Pharmaceutical Assistant (Quality) for their production and packaging facility on the East Rand

Responsibilities

Â

• In-process quality assurance and verification of products as per specifications
• Stop processes for out of specifications product and report event to Supervisor
• Conduct initial root cause investigation and report results to Production/Packaging Pharmacist
• Reporting and investigation into all non-conformances
• Perform risk analysis / assessment on production procedures when required
• Checking of material and components as part of Line Opening responsibilities
• Assist with line closure of a production line
• Assist with line clearance and line openings
• Verify returns to be correct and within prescribed specification
• Monitor and analyse KPI’s and recommend improvements and corrective measures to QA supervisor
• Report on daily activities, before end of shift
• Ensure Good Documentation Practice is followed and maintained on packaging lines
• Ensure that samples for each batch of intermediate bulk and finished product are prepared according to the relevant SOP and delivered to the laboratory for testing
• Perform daily calibration checks on all equipment and ensure that all equipment is clean
• Report on daily activities as required

Requirements

• Grade 12

• MUST HAVE +2 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical Production and Packaging environment
• Relevant Pharmacist Assistant qualification
• Non-conformance/deviation reporting experience is essential
• Strong working knowledge of common GMP principles
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Must be computer literate – MS Office
• Salary is dependent on skill set and relevant experience
