Personal Lines Claims Consultant

Short Term Insurance Claims Consultant with minimum 2 years’ personal lines binder/Insurer experience, required for a position with an FSP, based in Cape Town City Bowl.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric essential
• FAIS compliant – relevant FAIS credits/NQF4 or NQF5 Short Term Insurance
• RE5 essential
• Minimum 2 years’ personal lines claims experience – Binder Agreement/Insurer environment essential

Responsibilities:

• Claims administration – First notification of loss and obtain all relevant information for registration of claim
• Administer complete claims process
• Appoint Assessor/Loss Adjuster
• Claims validation
• Forward claims  in excess of mandate to Insurer
• Obtain quotes for replacement/service
• Arrange approval and payment
• Liaison between the client and Insurer
• Recoveries
