SUMMARY:
Performance Test Analyst required for a growing medtech company in Glasgow
POSITION INFO:
City Centre Glasgow company (offering a 4-day working week!) looking for a Performance Test Analyst
This company is one of those genuinely nice to work for places. Their founder is one of the good guys who cares about his staff, being transparent about the company''s successes and aims, implementing a four-day work week, and investigating the option for part-remote working post COVID.
It''s a fairly small company, with 50% of the staff being part of the technical team in some way - and five of those are Test Engineers. As a ''medtech'' company they have thrived during COVID (silver linings!) and have actually had to grow the team six months sooner than expected to cope with growth and workload!
They have one core product, and are in the process of developing some new products, as well as a move to the Cloud. There is a strong testing team, who focus on functional automated testing, but this role is new to the company. You will be an experienced Performance Test Analyst, who is able to automate the performance testing of their web applications by first deciding the best tools to do so! You''ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team whilst at the same time having autonomy over the performance testing.
You will ideally have most of the following skills/experience:
** Performance, stress and load testing
** Knowledge of tools such as LoadRunner, QALoad and JMeter to decide on the best performance tools for the job
** Take ownership of performance testing
** Identifying test scenarios
** Collating results in a format understandable to stakeholders
** Strong attention to detail and best practices - as a medical focused company, documentation needs to be of a high standard.
The company are passionate about developing their employee''s skills - one example is that the testing team are encouraged to take official testing certifications (think ISTQB) to develop solid skills.
They offer core hours from 10am - 3:30pm and it''s a 34 hour work week where you will be able to make up the rest of your hours at a time that works for you. Right now they are working from home, and open to some long-term part home working.
The salary on offer is up to £39,000 however the company are able to be flexible.
Are you looking for a smaller company where you can have real direct impact that benefits the lives of others, rather than just being a number? If this sounds like you, please apply or reach out to Erin at Cathcart Associates.
