Payroll Specialist

SUMMARY:
Pastel Payroll Candidate

POSITION INFO:

 Duties: 

• Payroll processing on an automated payroll package
• Performing SARS e-filing and all other payroll related filings
• Maintaining personnel databases
• Working directly with a variety of different clients and be able to successfully address andresolve employee payroll matters
• Preparing payroll reports and providing accurate company data to management/clients/bookkeepers
• Liaising with the Dept of Labour, SARS and other legislative bodies in the performance of allpayroll related duties
• Performing payroll reconciliations and other reports, as required
• Attending to administrative tasks, as required
• Assisting the Africa Desk with payroll activities in other African countries (eg Kenya)

 Required qualifications and attributes: 

• Grade 12
• Payroll Course or qualification would be beneficial
• At least 5 years payroll experience servicing multiple clients as an outsourced serviceprovider.
• Knowledge of SAGE Pastel Payroll.
• Solid knowledge and experience of current payroll tax laws as well as common payrolllegislative compliance procedures. Must be able to demonstrate up to date payroll taxknowledge in an interview.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and be able to work well with numerical data.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced multi-client environment.
• Must have a passion for payroll and People’s person.
• Fully proficient in a broad range of computer skills are necessary such as excel & word.
• A good command of the English language both written and speech.
• Clerical skills very important, must be versatile and willing to also deal with administrative tasks.
• Should have own transport and preferable be based in Gauteng North
