Payroll Officer

Salary: R15 000 – R18 000 per month, depending on experience

Our client in the Farming & Farm Produce industry is seeking a Payroll to start as soon as possible at their offices in Waterval, Pretoria (Wallmansthal area).

Purpose of the job:

This position is responsible for processing and assisting in the coordination and preparation of weekly/fortnight and/or monthly payroll in accordance with BCEA and EG Policies, maintaining employee records and providing effective communications with all staff regarding payroll matters.

Minimum requirements:

• 2+ years working experience as Payroll admin/officer
• Proficiency in VIP would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent general computer literacy
• Excellent knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Drivers Licence and own transport

Duties will include but is not limited to:

• Establish the full payroll function for multiple farms
• Setup monthly schedules for farms, indicating all employee engagements and terminations
• Manage payroll package structures including increases and bonuses
• Ensure input is received timeously each month
• Manage multiple payrolls (weekly, fortnightly and monthly)
• Ensure necessary approval is received timeously
• Resolve employee queries
• Assistance with EMP501 submissions
• Capture IOD claims
• Manage leave records
• Ensure payslips and invoices are issued
• Responsible for final reporting
• Obtaining SARS directives, when applicable
• Ensuring that UIF submissions are made
• Implementing and maintaining the administrative processes and procedures
