Payroll Manager

POSITION INFO:

Payroll Manager to do the full payroll function of ± 1000 employees. Ensure all data is captured for monthly payroll. The ideal candidate is analytical and methodical, with experience in payroll administration and deep knowledge of payroll regulations.
Duties
• Updates Payroll Records
• Prepares Reports By Compiling Summaries Of Earnings, Taxes, Deductions, Leave, Etc.
• Providing Information On Payroll Related Matters.
• Managing Electronic Timekeeping Systems And Manually Collecting And Reviewing Timesheets.
• Calculating Payable Hours, Commissions, Bonuses, Tax Withholdings, And Deductions.
• Preparing And Issuing Earnings Statements.
• Maintaining Employee Records.
• Coordinating With The HR Department To Ensure Correct Employee Data.
• Report To HR Department Regarding Daily Activities And Issues
• Preparing Periodic Payroll Reports For Review By Management.
• Proper Payment Of Wages And Salaries
• Correctly Process Salaries -Meeting Deadlines And Maintains Payroll Information
• Facilitates Employee -Prepare Reports By Compiling, Researching, And Analyzing Data And Performing Monthly And Annual Reconciliations.
• Maintaining High Levels Of Accuracy, Maintaining A Professional Demeanour And Appropriate Levels Of Confidentiality, And Providing Good Employee Service.

Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans
• Good time management skills
• Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures
• Excellent understanding of payroll VIP Premier/People
• Familiarity with payroll software VIP Premier / Clocking systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
• An analytical mind and good math skills
• Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
• Tertiary degree will be to the candidate’s advantage
