POSITION INFO:

Main Purpose of The Job

Processing of monthly payrolls and related recons for the Group, ensuring all payroll payments and approvals are made in line with the Group policies and procedures.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Attention to detail
• Ensuring all payroll transactions (input) are processed accurately and efficiently, i.e. loading new employees, medical aid changes, salary changes, processing terminating employees, processing leave pay, stannic etc.
• Processing of ESS claims i.e. leave, cell claims, overtime etc.
• Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information
• Sending medical aid application forms to Healthcare department for new employees, ensuring that it is allocated to the correct branches.
• Ensure that retirement fund withdrawal forms are completed and sent to the Administrator for terminating employees
• Resolving payroll discrepancies
• Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
• Printing and compiling of various VIP reports
• Preparing month-end recons i.e. SARS (PAYE/UIF/SDL), medical aid, provident/pension fund, group risk benefits, garnishees etc
• Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
• Ad hoc administrative duties as required
• Resolving payroll queries from employees and managers
• Payroll reporting to Head: Human Capital

• Degree in Finance, BCom HR or BComm
• High level of numeric accuracy
