Payroll Clerk

SUMMARY:
Our client, in the Financial Consulting sector, has an opportunity available for a Payroll Clerk to be based in the Rustenburg area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) (Valid Certificate)
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
• SAGE VIP Payroll System will be an advantage
• At least 2 years'' experience as a data capturer in an admin position 
• Good spoken and written command of the English language
• Attention to detail
• Numerical literacy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to reach deadlines
• Must be in possession of a medical fitness report
• Must be South African citizen and have criminal free record
• Must have own reliable transport with valid driver''s license

Duties:

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee income and social security taxes and employer''s
• social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
