Payroll officer Midrand R250 000 - R300 000 per annum A stable company within the services industry is recruiting for a dynamic and experienced payroll officer to join the company.

A stable company within the services industry is recruiting for a dynamic and experienced payroll officer to join the company.

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
Pastel Payroll Certified Administrator Certificate (PCA)
Minimum two (2) years’ proven experience in using Pastel Payroll
Minimum two (2) years’ proven experience in using Easyroster
Any other financial and/or payroll experience will be beneficial

Creating a new employee on Pastel Payroll

Capture timekeeping information on Easyroster system

Record annual, sick, family responsibility and unpaid leave

Review the time sheets, work charts, wage computation and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies

Capture and process all new employees’ data, including his name, surname,
ID, company number, address, phone number, bank details, start date,
marital status, medical aid, dependants, and skills and equity details, council information, payslips information as well as any other required information on the system

Process additional income like allowances and overtime. Overtime includes
Normal, Sundays and Public Holidays
Process leave, this will include Annual, Sick, Family responsibility and unpaid
leave
Process bonuses. This includes Annual, Long service and performance
bonuses

Handle all pay queries as quickly and efficiently as possible
Ensure that the amount of pay queries decreases every month

Send an update of the amount of pay queries received every month to the Key Accounts Manager.
