SUMMARY:
Our client in the automotive industry is seeking a temp Payroll Administrator / Salary Clerk with 3-5 years experience at a dealership to join their team in Arcadia (on a 6-8 month contract). Candidates must have matric and an HR qualification. EE candidates only.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Payroll Administrator / Salary Clerk (Temp)
Contract: 6-8 Month Contract (Temp Position)
Industry: Automotive 
Location: Arcadia, Pretoria
Salary: R15 000.00

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Up to date detailed CV 
  • 3-5 years Payroll Clerk experience in a dealership – Essential 
  • HR Qualification 
  • Grade 12 senior certificate 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • To efficiently and timeously facilitate the processing of all salary related matters to ensure that Group salaries department operates efficiently whilst ensuring staff satisfaction and minimizing possible losses.
  • Payroll Processes:
  • - Co-ordinate payroll data as required.
  •  Process and submit new engagement documentation.
  • - Approve/Reject Termination packs on the online system.
  • - Verify accuracy of payroll data received.
  • - Maintain all personal records in accordance with Group, Motor Industry and Government requirements.
  • - Check “rough” payroll printout and effect necessary amendments.
  • - Attend to Pension and Provident Fund queries.
  • - Complete UIF/Salary Schedules/Certificate of Service documents for terminated staff.
  • - Complete Maternity documents
  • Communication and Staff Relations:
  • - Investigate and resolve queries and errors regarding payroll.
  • - Liaise with line management regarding all payroll-related matters.
  • - Liaise with Group Payroll office and Human Resources department as required.
  • - Obtain and provide information as required as required to all authorised persons.
  • - Produce standard letters, notices, etc as required.
  • - Liaise with Department of Labour and Workmen’s Compensation as required.
  • Administration Duties:
  • - Keep all personal files updated.
  • - Maintain an appropriate level of confidentiality at all times.
  • - Ensure that every employee has a UIF card.
