Payroll Clerk - Sage 300 payroll administration system essential

POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking to employ an Corporate weekly  Payroll Administrator to join their team -Contracts to work on Sage 300 payroll system

You will work closely with the various membrs of teams  -Company Procurement, People and Finance teams as a member of the Company''''''''''''''''s team, the primary focus of your role Company . You will be a payroll specialist working on the Sage 300 Payroll system payroll system administation for the weekly payroll and input ployees on the 25th day of each month.  Your work outputs will include:


  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collation of paperwork
  • Scanning and filing of paperwork
  • Update and monitor excel database and register

 Be a Payroll specialist for the weekly payroll

  • Create new employees on VIP Sage 300
  • Terminate employees that have resigned on VIP
  • Update bank details, tax directive details and cost centre changes on VIP Sage 300
  • Gather all payroll input by following a clearly defined Activity Work Instruction
  • Calculate monthly group life contributions and submission of calc. sheet to reinsurer
  • Facilitate payment to 3rd parties for group life and group retirement annuity schemes
  • Input monthly incentive scores, commission, variable travel alloances, overtime, standby and reimbursements (via CSV input into VIP)
  • Create ESS logins and approve submissions (as administrator) received for reimbursement,
  • Overtime and standby claims, personal detail changes and leave applications
  • Exporting monthly payment files from VIP to banking platforms
  • Submit monthly EMP returns on e-filing
  • Submit monthly UIF declarations via email to department of labour
  • Submit annual COID return
  • Complete valiadtions in advance of annual easyfile submissions for IRP5''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s (and six monthly reconciliation)
  • address payroll related queries and requests from employees
  • Analyse payroll problems and provide appropriate solutions
  • Work closely with the relevant HR and Finance Teams to carry out payroll processing and month end processing
  • Run VIP Sage 300 reports and complete monthly tasks by following a clearly defined Activity Work instruction with checklist
  • Comple month end information to share with Finance by a specific deadline date, in line with clarly defined Activity Work Instruction (Finance will post relevant journals on Pastel)
  • Help the Company''''''''''''''''s external auditors with information needed and implement audit recommendations

Your role may change over tiime, depending on your performance, your needs and the business needs. Over time you may also need to

  • manage, maintain and update payroll related data and staff list.

Who will you report to :


You will be based within the Company''''''''''''''''''''''''s Corporate Business Services team at their Sandton Office Johannesburg.  You will report to the Processing Manager who is accountable for all payroll, procurement, supplier agreements and building facilities functions

Your qualifications and experience

  • VIP Sage 300 Payroll experience (minimum 3 years with current work output) to do the weekly payroll.

Your skills and character traits :

  • You are PC literate and have working experience with MS Office - Excel must be at an intermediate level
  • You have numeracy skills
  • You have accurate typing skills
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You must have the ability to keep confidential information to yourself
  • You are organised and have the right administrative skills
  • You are quality driven
  • You have the ability to pay attention to detail (accuracy is important)
